Our Rooms

Our Rooms

Happy Phases offers three warm, bright, airy and inviting classrooms.  They contain child-size, accessible furniture and fittings thus promoting your child’s independence, confidence and self-efficiency.

As well as being developmentally and needs appropriate the classrooms are divided into several interest areas which are filled with a variety of equipment and activities that provide achievable challenges that also scaffolds their learning.

We’re open Monday to Friday, from 8am up to 6pm, so if you would like to find out more, then please have a look around our website and if you like what you see, either email us info@happyphases.ie or call (01) 455 9065.

The interest areas include:

Construction Area: The construction area provides opportunities to play, explore, actively learn, create and critically think through activities such as blocks, LEGO, wood, train tracks and cogs and wheels.

Sensory Area: This area provides play activities that stimulates the child’s senses through messy play, sand, water, gloop and sensory bins.

Home Corner: This area provides opportunities to act out true life experiences using materials such as a toy kitchen, cooking utensils, empty food containers, role play materials, dress up clothes.

Art Area: This area provides a place for children to express their feeling, ideas and be creative through painting, mark making, cutting and other creative materials.

Cosy/Library Area: This area provides a relaxing and quiet place for the children, where they can go to have a rest and relax or if they need some quiet time to themselves.

We also offer a substantial enclosed outdoor area with a variety of outdoor toys such as our mud kitchen, tepee, ride on toys, art and climbing area as well as natural materials such as sand and water.

Every day we update our parents on their child’s daily activities, meals, toileting etc through the Eccesoft app and we work closely alongside parents to help their child meet their developmental milestones.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is a Play-based Emergent Curriculum which follows and builds upon the child’s current and emerging interests. We use Aistear, the Irish Early Childhood Curriculum Framework which celebrates early childhood as a time of being, and of enjoying and learning from experiences as they unfold.
